Hello, I was wondering if there's a certain reason why pacman does not use the bz2 format instead of the gz format for its packages.
BZ2 seems to be a lot better than GZ space-wise, especially for large packages. I think it would be better to use it for it'll also take less space on the servers and also will make it a bit easier on the dial-up users among the community.
The thought was to gradually start using the bz2 format whenever new packages or package updates come out, and it'll slowly replace the gz packages, until finally only bz2 packages will remain.
What do you think?

Ouch. Exhaustion and laziness caught me I guess. Sorry about that.
