trap mouse in a window

ahoi,

i'm looking for a tool/trick/command to "trap" the mouse cursor in a specific window. like when i hit a keyboard shortcut or something, the mouse cursor can't be moved out of the current window, until i hit that shortcut again. anyone know how to do this?
