[SOLVED]divx problem with firefox

Hi to all,
I installed firefox and mplayer-plugin. Almost everything works except for the divx plugin.
It is not even listed in about:plugins page of firefox.
I can't see any divx file in streaming  (tipically form stage6.divx.com).
Thanks for help. Paolo

Re: [SOLVED]divx problem with firefox

Have you checked the "Enable DivX Support" in the "Configure" menu of mplayer plugin?

Ummmh..I can't find the mplayerplug-in's menu. Do you mean the /etc/mplayerplug-in.conf file?

Re: [SOLVED]divx problem with firefox

Solved. I had to edit  ~/.mplayer/mplayerplug-in.conf . Somehow in the file the voice enable-dvx was turned to 0. I think that when the plugin is called by firefox it reads first the general config file /etc/mplayerplug-in.conf then that one in user's home. Thanks for advice.

Re: [SOLVED]divx problem with firefox

I think the divx support is turned of by default. Nice to hear that you solved it. smile
