[solved!] kernel panic en Acer Apire 1681 LCi

Hi,

Freshly installed Arch 2007.05 on an Acer Aspire 1681 LCi (I think it has a buggy DSDT). The only way I found to boot the installation CD (and the installed Arch system) is to append the paramater acpi=off to the kernel. Otherwise I get a kernel panic. I tried other kernels out there (suspend2, viper, ck) and I got always kernel panic without the acpi=off append. On the wiki, it is said that all works fine with the Beyond kernel, but it is discontinued. Here's my rc.conf:

Re: [solved!] kernel panic en Acer Apire 1681 LCi

I'm getting it to work with the kernel26mm from the unstable repo. Powermanagment and sensors are all alright. No more need to append acpi=off.
