USB 2.0 PCI PnP card compability.

I would like to buy an Equip USB2.0 PCI Card 4+1 NEC Chip (MAC OS Support) controller. Is it compatible with Linux? Will it function properly? Have anyone of you any experience with such a device? It says that it is Plug and Play. Thanks you very much.
