I'm trying to access the power management settings in gnome and for some odd reason the window does not pop up without any error messages at all. This also happens when I try the power management button on the screen saver settings under preferences. Speaking of screen saver, it doesn't activate at all after the amount of minutes I specify. The lock-screen button on my system menu doesn't seem to work either. Is there something I neglected to install or is there some configuration that needs to be enabled for these features to work? Any help is appreciated.

P.S.
This is the message I get when I try to run gnome-screensaver in the terminal if this helps:
(gnome-screensaver:18276): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.

Never mind about the post above, I figured out the solution to that but it still didn't solve the initial issues I have. Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Um Never mind again. Some how what I did actually did work but for those of you experiencing the same issues make sure dbus is installed:
# pacman -S dbus
Then make sure dbus daemon is included in the daemon list when you edit the /etc/rc.conf file. Finally reboot:)
