Audacity fails to start

When I start audacity it gives the following output:

Expression '*idev = open( idevName, flags )' failed in 'src/hostapi/oss/pa_unix_oss.c', line: 807
Expression 'OpenDevices( idevName, odevName, &idev, &odev )' failed in 'src/hostapi/oss/pa_unix_oss.c', line: 861
Expression 'PaOssStream_Initialize( stream, inputParameters, outputParameters, streamCallback, userData, streamFlags, ossHostApi )' failed in 'src/hostapi/oss/pa_unix_oss.c', line: 122

And then uses 99% of my CPU doing apparently nothing.

My sound card driver is snd_ca0106. Using the latest kernel26.
