Power saving options...

What the best power saving option for an Intel based laptop? I was looking and it seems there are a few options available package wise. So I figured I would see what others have been using and what kind of success they are having.

I was looking on the wiki and looks like the powersave package, cpudyn, cpufrequtils and cpufreqd are the available options. Wasn't sure if powersave was for Intel or not as it doesn't really say but looks like the most complete package.

Re: Power saving options...

there's no diffence. amd, intel, whatever.
These packages are not vendor specific.

powersave & pm-utils are complete solutions. the other you mentioned are only parts, that can be put together to do things such cpu speedstepping etc.
