How to create metapackages?

Hey,
I built a few packages using makepkg, etc., and I created a repository for my own personal use.  I was just wondering, how are meta-packages, like "gnome" and "gnome-extra", created?
I've looked through the wiki, forums, etc. and nothing mentions it.  I've also looked through abs, and the ftp, and none of the meta-packages seem to appear, yet they work?
I tried a PKGBUILD with a bunch of dependencies, but that doesn't seem to do it either (it requires a build(), etc.)

Any clues?

Re: How to create metapackages?

Those are called groups in Arch - just add the field groups=('mygroupname') to every package that belongs in that group.

-edit- This was my 1337'th post.  Sweet. -/edit-
