Okay. So i decided to ditch vmware and try virtualBox. After RTFM and RTFG (google) I still can't access my shared folder from within windows.
Host: Archlinux
Guest: Windows XP
VirtualMachine Name: WinXP
$ VBoxManage sharedfolder add WinXP -name LinuxShared -hostpath /home/mbeisser/VMShare
Start VirtualBox... start-> run -> cmd
C:/> net use x: \\vboxsvr\LinuxShared
System error 53 has occurred.
The network path was not found.
Yes the VMShare folder exists (I double checked that )
Suggestions? I would like to ditch vmware cuz it's just a pain in the ass with those stupid modules not never build and the anyany crap.

Try to add the shared folder through Virtualbox` GUI without uppercase letters for its name...
On my machine, i created a folder "Transfer" in my $HOME, included it as shared folder with the name "transfer" in VBox and then used the command in your second code block and it works perfectly:
net use x: \\vboxsvr\transfer
want a modular and tweaked KDE for arch? try kdemod
