hi,

after restart sometime my gui does not starts, it shows login prompt.
can anybody help?

ouput is too big, can u tell me how to copy the specified file to a floppy disk, then i cud send it 2 u.

Should be enough to gather the necessary information. If your system is up and running (network side) you can use sftp / scp to transfer the files to another machine (ssh must be installed and running).

Try to find error messages in there, which occur. Usually, if X won't start up, there are specific errors written into the file.

thanx for the support , i wud like to inform u that my system is up and running but network also has a problem (ethernet card) to which u r replying at the same time , it wud be better if u help me give a command to copy the file to a floppy disk and then i can sent the log file to u.

If your floppy is configured properly in your /etc/fstab.

I think it writes the data to floppy only when you unmount it.
