XFCE/Thunar hidden files not hidden sometimes

Here is my problem and I don't know how to solve it :

Thunar is confiured not to show hidden files/directories, but if I have to select a directory from another application (i.e. download for firefox), all the hidden files/directories are present. It's kinda boring because the load time is bigger and I have to navigate to the folder I'm looking for which is AFTER the hidden files.

It's not blocking, but it's really annoying.

in the window that appears from the other application right click and remove the tick from show hidden files. its not really a thunar or xfce issue but a gtk one
