I can't get connected to wep protected network(wireless)

with Knetworkmanager, when I click a wireless network , it let me to enter the Passphase, after I enter, it config the network for a long time and end with ask for the Passphase again.

How to solve this?

Maybe you have to add the network key as root?

I'm not sure as I don't use knetworkmanager, I just put my network details straight into /etc/rc.conf

Have you had it working previously?

It works with wireless network without a passphase.

There's no difference  if I  add the network key as root or not .

networkmanager is buggy for me. i gave up on it, didn't even connect to unprotected networks. maybe you can try wicd or wifi-radar.
