Nonworking packages

Hi here's some packages that don't work for some reason:

Glipper:
command not found

xmoto:
error while loading shared libraries: liblua.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

manuals?:

sh: most: command not found
Error executing formatting or display command.
System command (cd /usr/man && (echo ".pl 1100i"; /bin/gunzip -c '/usr/man/man1/man.1.gz'; echo ".\\\""; echo ".pl \n(nlu+10") | /usr/bin/gtbl | /usr/bin/nroff -Tlatin1 -mandoc -c | most) exited with status 32512.
No manual entry for man

Then theres True combat elite from AUR.
that im too noob to know how to make punkbuster work with it smile

Not too many problems actually and most problems come from aur anyways...

xmoto depends on lua which contains liblua.so

pacman roulette : pacman -S $(pacman -Slq | LANG=C sort -R | head -n $((RANDOM % 10)))

Xmoto depends on lua.  lua-compat claims to 'provide' lua, but it doesn't seem to work properly.  I'll point DSA to this thread, and see what we can come up with.

Why do you need lua-compat?  It just seems to be an older version of Lua.

:: lua conflicts with lua-compat. Remove lua-compat? [Y/n]
done.
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: lua-compat requires elinks
:: lua-compat requires xmoto

No idea what pulled that ode-compat and when... works now with lua though.

Well glipper is still broken smile

Is there any way to check all dependencies (of installed packages) incase they change with aur packages and whatnot
experiments i make?

Re: Nonworking packages

Glipper is an applet now.  If you want the old glipper, remove glipper, and install glipper-old.

Then just the new glipper-old executable, as its not called plain "glipper" anymore.

Doh! well now i got it in systray but too  bad it doesnt capture copy-pastes...

So glipper-semi-works

Xmoto works.

Manuals are either messed by utf8 or the permission problem thingy.

From aur:
TC:e works just fine although sounds are still gone / dont work.

Dangerfromdeep starts and crashes when trying to enter mission.

Small annoyances smile
