I just installed Arch with little problems but I notice webpages in web browsers are loading extremely slowly. Any ideas to the cause of this?

Look under
1) Set up Hostname
2) Set computer name
Reboot and see if it's better.

I think I found the problem and am just posting it if anyone else has this problem in the future. It seems the DNS server I was using was incredibly slow and I switched to another one and am having a bit faster access speed. Does anyone know a fast and reliable DNS server?

Try 208.67.222.222 and
208.67.220.220

Why thank you very much. I just have one last question. Is this related to the default DNS server my ISP uses or is it a default server that comes set in Arch?
EDIT: I ask this because on other distros web pages load at normal speeds, but after installing Arch they were reduced to a crawl.

I had an issue on my laptop with slow DNS, and I found out that it was because first ipv6 addresses were being queried, and after those timed out, it would finally use the usual format (I guess ipv4).
The solution was to disable the ipv6 module, and then DNS picked up the pace again. That said, I only had that problem
once when I was travelling and I'm not sure why I didn't have the problem elsewhere.

Have a look at the Arch Linux beginner's guide: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beg … ure_System
Your /etc/hosts and /etc/resolv.conf should be setup exactly correct, or you will experience slow performance. Arch will not setup anything by itself, that is left up to the user.
The DNS info I gave you is for opendns.com. Keep in mind that if you are using a router with static IP, you may want to specify your DNS in the router itself and merely point to it from resolv.conf
