No Sound in Savage: The Battle for Newerth and only playbe as root

yesterday i installed Savage: The Battle for Newerth and i dont have any sound in the game i also only can play it as root if i run it as normal

user i get this message

System_Init()
Game error during initialization:
Couldn't open scripts.log

thx this fixed my sound issuse but the problem with root still appers ^^ iam in group games like i should but it dun work

You need to chown /opt/savage, that is where scripts.log is located.
