I installed virtualbox-ose and additions, but I can't find the additions ISO anywher on my arch box. I'm trying to get better graphics support on my Win2000 vbox. I installed with these commands:
pacman -Sy virtualbox-ose qt virtualbox-ose-additions
gpasswd -a me vboxusers
vi /etc/rc.conf
add "vboxdrv vboxadd vboxvfs" to modules
reboot

The "additions ISO"?
AFAIK, running virtualbox-ose should simply have more options/features now.

When I boot the vm, from the Devices menu is an option "Install Guest Additions". When I select that, I get an error "Failed to find the Virtual Box Guest Additions CD image /usr/share/virtualbox/VBoxGuestAdditions.iso or /usr/share/virtualbox/additions/VBoxguestAdditions.iso"

You might have to "mount" the additions ISO to make it accessible to the Guest OS. I can't open VB this very moment, otherwise I would point you straight to the right menu, but I believe it's on the "Devices" drop down menu once you boot the guest OS.... something like: Devices -> Mount CD/DVD -> Image/ISO
From there you can browse out to /usr/share/virtualbox/VBoxGuestAdditions.iso and select it to be available to the guest OS.
Hope this helps
Edit: By the way, I don't think it's necessary to have vboxadd and vboxvfs added to the MODULES array, at least not for the OSE version of VirtualBox.

There were a few files in /usr/share/virtualbox, but no isos.

Looking at the pkgbuild in community it seems the iso should be here :
/usr/share/virtualbox/additions/VBoxGuestAdditions.iso
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
(A works at time B) && (time C > time B ) ≠ (A works at time C)

How do you view the pkgbuild, get it from AUR?

When i'm thinking of using an aur program i always look at the pkgbuild :
On the package details page click CVS > PKGBUILD > view
Although i now see i may have looked at the wrong package : virtualbox-additions 1.4.0-1 instead of virtualbox-ose-additions 1.4.0-1

Should I have just installed virtualbox instead of virtualbox-ose ? I dont really need USB upport, but a better screen from the additions would be nice.

Ah ha... I see what you mean now... the reason my guest additions have been working fine is because I installed the PUEL additions (virtualbox-additions). However, I'm running the OSE edition of VirtualBox and everything has been working fine, so I'm not sure what to think of it all.
I just tried installing the OSE additions and you're right, it doesn't install the ISO at all.

virtualbox-ose-additions, virtualbox-ose-additions-modules and virtualbox-xorg-drivers are compiled additions for Arch guests.
virtualbox-additions contains an official iso which includes installer and additions for most of supported guest systems.
So, if you run arch as host you need to install virtualbox-additions, the other packages are needed if you run arch as guest and want to install the guest additions (IMHO).
