auto created xorg.conf

I have noticed that when xorg automatically creates xorg.conf settings It works better than when I use my own xorg.conf.. I also get a lot fewer Warnings in xorg.log.

The question is, where is the autoconfigured xorg.conf?? I would really like to take a look at it, and apply it to my xorg.conf...

Re: auto created xorg.conf

I also get this problem with my xorg.conf, but not with xorgs auto:

[12:19 root ~]# glxinfo
name of display: :0.0
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x67
display: :0 screen: 0
direct rendering: Yes

Also this problem:
the pager in kdemod, I have it set to show the wallpapers, but with my xorg.conf The first desktop in the pager shows nothing, but other 3 desktops shows the wallpaper background..

You mean, when the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file doesn't exist ?

Maybe the one generated by Xorg -configure is the same.

-configure
When this option is specified, the Xorg server loads all  video
driver  modules,  probes for available hardware, and writes out
an initial xorg.conf(5) file based on what was detected.   This
option  currently  has  some problems on some platforms, but in
most cases it is a good  way  to  bootstrap  the  configuration
process.   This option is only available when the server is run
               as root (i.e, with real-uid 0).

Re: auto created xorg.conf

I mean when I remove my xorg.conf  from /etc/X11/ xorg automatically probes and logs into X, this autoprobed configs is working better than my xorg.conf. I want to see these settings created automatically by xorg, but cant find them.

Re: auto created xorg.conf

I think you have Xorg-server 1.3 which what I heard doesn't need a xorg.conf. I use 1.3 with xorg.conf which I had on 1.2 and glxgears show lower results as under 1.2 server. If I started X without xorg.conf than monitor resolution is not correct and mouse doesn't work correct too.
