xfce can't shutdown my computer
When I click the "Quit" menu, the shutdown window rarely pops out (1 time in 10-15 tries?) and when it does, I get
** (xfce4-session:5066): CRITICAL **: xfsm_shutdown_helper_destroy: assertion 'helper != NULL' failed
The funny thing is this used to work just fine (added sudo and made the needed modifications to sudoers) but after a pacman -Syu some time ago I started receiving this and sometimes something related to ICE.

Try recompiling sudo, and make sure your pam is up to date?

You should no longer need sudo in order to shutdown using the main DE's (XFCE, KDE and Gnome). They each use HAL/DBUS. If you're running HAL and DBUS, it should use those automatically and if they're not available, it will fall back to SUDO. Either way, your error doesn't look related to SUDO.

@buttons - it used to work so I don't think recompiling could help in any way. up to date.
@steven - tried the hal/dbus alternative, didn't worked.I too think it wasn't related to sudo because it seems to fail before that point.
@already did that
Thanks for your answers! I actualy got so mad I installed gnome, even thow it uses twice the resources xfce uses, but at least I don't have any annoying problems.
[OFFTOPIC] BTW, shouldn't I recive a message to inform me when a reply was posted? It seems I only got one now. Same problem on other threads. Sometimes I recive notifications, sometimes I don't.[/OFFTOPIC]

You only get one message to tell you there are new posts until you visit the forum again. Once you have seen the new message(s) you will the get informed if any more arrive afterwards. (I think it is explained in the email)
