[SOLVED] X hangs with SEGMENTATION FAULT:NEVER SEEN BEFORE!

Hi gyus,

I've succesfully installed ARCHlinux several times on different PC and laptop.

On the last one (my ASUS A6J) I am unable to setup the X-Server working.
The video card as shown by lspci is an ATI M56P Radeon Mobility X1600.

But after a fresh installation of xorg and eiher fglrx or xf86-video-ati did not work.
I'm thinking to reinstall once more the whole system packages, 'cause I have no idea about the problem.

Neither X or startx or init commands are wordking for me:
X -> segmentation fault
statrx -> xauth: creating new authority file /root/.serverauth.6517
              Connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to X server
              No such process (errno 3): Server error.

xinit -> the same
root and standard users are in the video, audio, media groups as expected.

Never seen before...
Could anyone help me please?

Thanks
DrP

Ok, I solved reinstalling the whole system... :-o

No problem now, everything works fine with the last proprietary ATI drivers (fglrx) an xorg.
