Internet problems

I cannot connect to the internet.
I cannot even ping my router. "From 192.168.0.103 icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable"
I should have the correct module. (8139too) lspci gives me "Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+"
I am using a static ip that worked with ubuntu. I entered in my nameservers too.

What could I be missing?

Re: Internet problems

Would you mind giving us the results of a "ifconfig"?

I'll only post eth0, I don't think I need to post lo.

Re: Internet problems

I don't know if this is the problem, but the broadcast is wrong. Should be 192.168.0.255.

Re: Internet problems

It used to be like that and I changed it because the network setup page on the wiki said so. It I put it back it doesn't work.

Re: Internet problems

What is the router IP? There may be something wrong with the router...
Do you have another network interface on your PC?

Re: Internet problems

I only have eth0 and lo

My router ip is 192.168.0.1

I know there is no problem because it works on the windows computers and on the computer that currently has archlinux used to have ubuntu. (worked with ubuntu before.

Re: Internet problems

Did you try to change the module of your network card using 8139cp instead of 8139too?

No doesn't work. That module was already there.

Re: Internet problems

It could be you have set the wrong gateway/routes , please post the networking section of /etc/rc.conf .

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
