Re: problem running Google Earth

It's a limitation in your DRI drivers. I see you use the outdated 6.5.2 drivers, there's a newer version of them in extra. If those still don't work, you could try to upgrade to Xorg in testing and use the mesa 7.0.1 drivers, they implement OpenGL 2.0.

Re: problem running Google Earth

Hello,

I'm having the same problem. The outputs are almost identical. The original post is from setember, and now is december (mesa 7.x, xorg 7.3...).

I'd like to know if it was resolved... or something.

I have an intel 965, and no xorg.conf.

If i'd put more information, say it.

thanks

Re: problem running Google Earth

Add this line:

export LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=true

before

exec "./googleearth-bin" $*

in /usr/bin/googleearth

OK, it worked. Thanks smile

But, what does it make exactly? render via software? the speed is good, and GE advises if it's running by software. That advise doesn't appear.

Thanks "bangkok_manouel"! You are the non-gender specific person! smile I looked all over for this fix. I even emailed it to Google so, hopefully, someone else won't have to go down this road again. Thanks again. MN
