I understand that one possible factor for a G5PPC Arch not materialising is the lack of a suitable machine.
Have a look on this site:http://www.tweedehandsmac.nl/ !
It is a dutch site for 2nd hand Apples , but the searching is quite intuitve:
- select "Aangeboden" in the first search case
- select G5 in the third one
and then click "Zoek" (=search)
The prices seem reasonable

Well the lack of hardware is not so much the issue of lack of donated hardware systems or the funds to purchase said hardware. Out of the entire team of developers, I'm the one with the most Mac's to use, one of which is our build machine, another my personal desktop that I use, and the third I generally reserve for testing. One other member on the team has an iBook, another a Mac Mini, and the final member has no current mac to play with. Most of us are poor students or not financially sound enough to purchase a G5. If you're willing to buy one and donate cpu cycles to use, we'll gladly & graciously accept but currently we just don't have the resources to procure such a box .
