mplayer sub font size

is it possible reduce the (non hard of course) subtitles of mplayer?
I see you can do it with the `ass' subtitles and with ass scale font.
But the ass font is ugly, I like more the normal one. I just want it smaller... :S

subfont-blur = "4"
subfont-outline = "4"
Experiment with this lines in your ~/.mplayer/config
