can not shut-down Arch

whenever i shut down Arch, using command "poweroff" my system freezes at:

       saving system clock     [BUSY]

and it never changes to [DONE]. you get several messages when computer shuts-down, like this:

Sending SIGTERM to all processes      [DONE]
Sending SIGKILL to all processes         [DONE]
Saving system clock                            [BUSY]

it freezes there. (there is one more problem  started before this happened 1st time, my Limewire stopped working:  http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=37059 )

I just pulled the cell out, put it in my mouth, then cleaned it with cloth. clean the place where the cell is kept and now it works fine  (BTW, it is less than 2 years old)
