ALSA settings store problem

Hey

When issuing "alsactl store" as a user, I get:

[fio@lg-tux ~]$ alsactl store
alsactl: save_state:1278: Cannot open /etc/asound.state for writing: Permission denied

This does not happen as root.

Does anyone know what I am missing? The user is a member of the audio group..

Tnx
Fiod

Re: ALSA settings store problem

Same here. The file /etc/asound.state doesn't belong to the group audio. It's owner root and group root as well.
If your user is in audio group that only means you are allowed to use audio driver in programs.
You can add alsa to Daemons line in rc.conf and it will automatically take care of 'alsactl store' on shutdown.
