[solved] wine32: nvidia api mismatch

Hello.
I am trying to run bin32-wine from AUR on my 64 bit arch installation, but I've got a problem concerning the drivers which stop me from testing wine as I am a little concerned about possible hardware damage.

I am not sure where to check for the source of error, so I am just providing the weird output of every wine application I am trying to start:

$ winecfg
Error: API mismatch: this NVIDIA driver component has version
100.14.11, but the NVIDIA kernel module's version does not match.
Please make sure that the kernel module and all NVIDIA driver
components have the same version.
NVIDIA: Direct rendering failed; attempting indirect rendering.
ALSA lib conf.c:3949:(snd_config_expand) Unknown parameters 0
ALSA lib control.c:909:(snd_ctl_open_noupdate) Invalid CTL default:0
Error: API mismatch: this NVIDIA driver component has version
100.14.11, but the NVIDIA kernel module's version does not match.
Please make sure that the kernel module and all NVIDIA driver
components have the same version.
NVIDIA: Direct rendering failed; attempting indirect rendering.

You can ignore the ALSA lib errors, I am trying to get rid of the nvidia version mismatch, which obviously comes from a conflict with the loaded nvidia module and the lib32-nvidia-utils. This is at least what I suspect. But how can you solve this issue?

The following packages are installed:
lib32-nvidia-utils 100.14.11-1
nvidia-96xx 1.0.9639-5
nvidia-96xx-utils 1.0.9639-1
bin32-wine 0.9.44-1 (AUR)

Thanks in advance!

You are right, you have to use nvidia (100.14.11).

Re: [solved] wine32: nvidia api mismatch

Thanks.

Don't know why I was using the legacy drivers, though. oO
