Binding keys on thinkpad for quod libet [solved]

Hey all,

Just switched from rhythmbox to quod libet for various reasons. I'm having trouble binding my next/previous and play/pause keys to quod libet commands on my thinkpad x60. These keys are on the arrow keys and activated with a fn + <arrow key> keypress.

gnome-keybinding properties recognizes these keys as:
0xa2
0xa4
0x90
0x99

and it bound the keys to the proper actions in rhythmbox. However, xbindkeys -mf doesn't recognize these at all, so I can't seem to bind it with xbindkeys. xev is giving uninformative results too.

Is there any way that I can tell gnome that the "Next Song" action should be bound to the command "quodlibet --next"?

Otherwise, what do I have to do to get xbindkeys to recognize them?

Thanks,
Dusty

Google was really trying to hide this little gem, but I found it:
