fglrx detects AGP PICe based cards (X1xxx) as PCI

I'd like to confirm that i'm not the only one having problems with X1xxx cards using fglrx driver

AFAIK all PCIe based cards that have Rialto bridges to work on AGP are detected as PCIe cards with all fglrx drivers past 8.35

is there anyone that can debunk that?

easiest way to check it (provided you're running fglrx and your X starts):

[root@bursa57 tomato]# grep "PCIE card detected" /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(II) fglrx(0): PCIE card detected

if you don't get "PCIE card detected" and

[root@bursa57 tomato]# grep "AGP" /var/log/Xorg.0.log

returns anything except xorg.conf lines, please post your mainboard chipset, exact card model, BIOS settings (FastWrites, AGPMode etc.), kernel version, Xorg version, fglrx version, xorg.conf and amdpcsdb or at least Xorg.0.log

thank you smile
