Open Office -> "inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-open.c: 260"

Hello guys,

Hopefully anyone here can help me, as I did not find anything related to it using google. So the problem is: OpenOffice starts, but when trying to open a file, or creating a new file, it crashes. When started using the command line, the following error message is displayed:

rochus : ~ $ soffice
Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-open.c: 260: dl_open_worker: Assertion `_dl_debug_initialize (0, args->nsid)->r_state == RT_CONSISTENT' failed!

The version is the latest in the repo, java is at version 6u2-1. I didn't use my notebook for the last few days, just having a pacman -Syu every day or two, so maybe I missed something (perhaps, didn't read carefully enough the installation messages).

please check that your system is up to date. seems your glibc or binutils version is outdated.

binutils: 2.18-3
glibc: 2.6.1-2
