GeForce 6200 video card. I configured xorg.conf with hwd -xa and nvidia-xconfig. With both versions of xorg.conf, when I run startx, X appears to load, I see the cross mouse cursor for a brief second, then it shuts down with the following error message:
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc: line 28: twm: command not fond
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc: line 29: xclock: command not fond
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc: line 30: xterm: command not fond
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc: line 31: xterm: command not fond
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc: line 32: exec: xterm: not found
FreeFontPath: PFE "/usr/share/fonts/misc:unscaled" refcount is 2, should be 1; fixing
Anyone have any idea why x isn't loading based on that?

What's in your .xinitrc? Do you have any WMs or DEs installed? It looks like xinitrc is trying to execute something that isn't installed (twm).

pacman -S xterm xorg-apps
Should install the missing programs.

Actually of the above listed commands only xclock is in xorg-apps .
pacman -S xorg-apps xorg-twm xterm
is needed.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
