Kopete install

Why cant I just install just kopete? there is a package which installs kopete+ other crap which i do not want.
I tried to install it from AUR but iam getting some error when i make makepkg.
How can we get kopete into community repository?

I recommend you use KDEmod, which has all the KDE packages modular, so you can install only what you want.
