"psearch" failed to search in AUR?

hi,

I have used "psearch" for a while without any problem,
until recently.
It failed to search in AUR, with following messages:

[501 ~:bsdson 16:03]$ psearch -a gtd
>  Resolving aur.archlinux.org ...  failed!
> 2 matches for key term [ gtd ]

The Internet connection is alright, and so is the AUR site.
I wonder if this is relevant to the changing of the AUR site recently,
but find no other similar problems posted.

Does anyone know what cat I do?
BR,

ps. psearch version 1.1-6

I have also seen that behaviour, and don't know when it happened. I've posted on AUR, I hope wrythe sees mine & Purch's comments... hmm

I made an AUR helper once.
I also go by evaryont and nogweii elsewhere on the internet.
Check out my projects and packages.

Re: "psearch" failed to search in AUR?

The AUR site got quite an overhaul and as tools like yaourt or psearch just parse the html they need to be adapted to those changes.

Re: "psearch" failed to search in AUR?

I have a json http fetch interface in my aur backend development repo.
If that gets merged mainline, it could provide a nice alternative api for userspace tools to utilize, so they won't have to scrape pages.
There are alot of json libraries for various languages out there.

I even threw together a few test clients. See the mailing list archive for more info.
