gstreamer naming in pacman

pacman used to have both 0.8 and 0.10 versions of gstreamer to keep legacy support for old apps, so the 0.10 was different in naming to avoid pacman going bonkers, but now as 0.8 is no longer present why we are keeping the 0.10 moniker in package name? All packages in repos haven't got the numer in name if this is not the original application name, so why we are keeping that?

Re: gstreamer naming in pacman

Because gstreamer is not API stable.  I.e we will run into the same problems when 0.12 is released.
