Hi,
thinking about buying a wireless router only I am confused buy which on to buy, of course it has be supported by linux [or be able to be set up via a browser!]
I need to be able to connect [ethernet cable to my main desktop!] then to a phone line [ie has a modem!]
Looking at Netgear DG834GT is that any good?
My main reason for buying one is so I can use my laptop [which has wireless built in]
Thanks in advance

Hi Mr Green,
I have this exact router (Netgear DG834GT) and it works very well.

I have the same router which works well. However you may want to check out www.openwrt.org for a router on which you can load open firmware to tweak it.

Any router should work 'with Linux'. Basic network protocols are OS-independent (and you don't need any drivers on your box to 'run your router').
