Gnome upgrade.... appearance/theme app crashing

Hey. Upgraded GNOME just now and it went pretty well.  I have the harmless GDM issue AND this problem with the "Appearance" option under System Preferences.  It crashes immediately upon loading and I cannot customize my Gnome themes and stuff. 

gnome-appearance-properties is going to 100% in SYSMON.

Help!

any errors starting from the command line ?

A lot of things like that.  I suppose there is a problem with all of my previous themes in the new Gnome/Gtk?
