Can't install kdemod-complete or gnome: archive libwnck is corrupted

Heey
Every time I try to install GNOME or kdemod-complete I get the following error message:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
archive libwnck-2.18.3-1.pkg.tar.gz is corrupted (bad MD5 or SHA1 checksum)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I tried erasing the pacman cache, and download again... I tried diffent servers, but nothing helps.
I just did a pacman -S libwnkck to see wat would turn up and got the following:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[root@pc user]# pacman -S libwnck

looking for inter-conflicts... done.

Try updating first:

pacman -Sy

yeah just noticed... it's a new package. Now version 20.
I've upgraded and I'm installing Gnome right now.
I saw that I said that the error came up with kdemod-complete and gnome. Well that should have been gnome and xfce4 I'm afraid. Alltough I can't install kdemod-complete either, do to package conflicts.

Re: Can't install kdemod-complete or gnome: archive libwnck is corrupted

Now... How do I resolve the package inter-conflicts...
I installed kdemod but now I want kdemod-complete, I type: pacman -S kdemod-complete, get a list of packages, some of them I allready have so when it asks me to upgrade those I say no (or is it necessery?), but then it comes up with this:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
looking for inter-conflicts...
error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
:: kdemod-kdesdk: conflicts with kdemod-kdesdk-base
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So what do I do?

ps. the more I solve the more I like it!!! Arch rocks! Finally I'm getting to know linux. (well I'm quite new but still) smile

Just answer yes, if it complains about things already existing add the -f flag to pacman to force.

pacman -Sf pkgname

Doesn't solve the problem, I even removed the kdemod, and tried to add kdemod-complete it still complains. neutral

Wat's about the 'w/' ??
pacman -Sd kdemod-complete, still gives me the dependencies error. Strange or not?

Re: Can't install kdemod-complete or gnome: archive libwnck is corrupted

Found the solution. I think it's a bug or something in kdemod for x86_64 arch. But there were others with problems on the kdemod forum and you have to install the testing version. That is not quite bugfree itself but at least it will install. wink
By the way, I found out that I prefer kdemod over the (over)complete version... lol
