X11 Not Exiting Cleanly

Hello I have an issue with Xorg... It won't exit cleanly. When I exit it will either display black, or some other color and not let me do anything, no ctrl-alt-backspace; I have to reboot to get back into cli.
This issue is on an IBM X61, and I did lspci and got this as my agp device:
0:02.1 Display Controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c)
If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.
Thanks, Jonny

Re: X11 Not Exiting Cleanly

Sounds like a bad graphics driver. Try switching your driver to VESA or something really generic temporarily to see if that's the case.
