To the TS: just grab the PKGBUILD and adapt it, good chance it will just work with the latest code with a few modifications .

The CVS snapshopts are on an hourly update - I just tried 2007101813, and the build fails. If you can get it working, post the details here.
The 20070914 code builds and works, so it's still in the repo. I'm using an even earlier snapshot myself.

I am using the 20070826 snapshot myself still. No complaints.

The daily snapshots are incompatible with the mac80211-stack in the 2.6.23 kernels, so you won't get it to compile unless you patch the kernel with a new version of mac80211, which of course will break compatibility with the in-tree drivers
To clarify:
The daily snapshot is a dump of the rt2x00 specific files from the 2.6.24-wireless-dev tree on git.kernel.org. You can download this tree and compile an in-tree rt2x00 driver, but it is of course not guarenteed to be stable
If all goes well, rt2x00 will be an in-tree driver in 2.6.24
The only drivers that have a chance of compiling without patching the kernel are the legacy drivers.
Hope this helps
