Upgrade today, kernel panic. dm-crypt cant read root?

Hi

I dont know whats wrong, i just updated my workstation this morning and now the damn thing wont boot. It accepts the password and ulocks the key slots (luks), but when it tries to read the root it pukes out a kernel panic alert. Okey, thats fine. Then i tried to boot from the install disk, which went fine. BUT, the new nvidia driver update wont work with the kernel on the disk. I dont now whats wrong, i`ll try and fix it to night. Maybe somethings wrong with grub, or the modules (dm-crypt) dont like the new kernel. Anyone?
