truecrypt encrypted home partition

Hi,

has anyone here ever encrypted his home partition with truecrypt? I have my home partition of my laptop currently encrypted using dm-crypt. But now I'd like to add another security layer by using truecrypt and it's hidden-volume feature. I plan to have two home directories, one "normal" that I could mount in case I am forced to give away a password and one "hidden" for my "real" home directory and private data.

In case someone did that already: Did you experience any significant performance loss or other implications?

And before someone asks why dm-crypt isn't enough: I don't know if some of you follow the German news but our government is on a good way to put our country under some sort of information control. So, being the paranoid person I am this measurement would be just my reaction on the things that may come in the near future wink.
