kopete webcam chicony kdemod not working suddenly (blue screen)

i had my chicony laptop webcam working flawlessly with kde mod
now it stopped working suddenly
i was using testing core community repos in pacman..
I am not sure what broke it
It was working with UVC driver ..i still have it but all i see is blue screen

Did you update to kdemod 3.5.8 yet? If so, that's the reason why it isn't working anymore.

known issues:

- kopete uvc support does not work so far with 3.5.8, we are on it...

Rebuild your UVC driver, kopete has UVC support built-in since 3.5.8
