..anybody else encounter this? i'm not sure what i should be doing. remove the packages (i think the only thing i have that requires them is snownews) and see what happens then?

they're only man pages, so just force teh upgrade,, pacman -Syuf

oh, i didn't know i could do that -- worked just fine, thank you very much
but now i'm curious.. since, as you say, they're just man pages.. why wouldn't it just go ahead and update/overwrite them without needing the --force option? seems silly.
