fluxbox trumps xbindkeys

I run xbindkeys in my fluxbox startup script and some of the keys that I bind work after fluxbox has started but some don't. If I kill xbindkeys once fluxbox is running then restart it all the keys work.

I assume that this is because fluxbox is putting its own key mapper over the top of xbindkeys. Is there anyway to stop this?

You might want to have a look at your ~/.fluxbox/keys.

I do have a few defined but none that overlap the keys used by xbindkeys.

I can't use the fluxbox keys to do things as the keys I want to map come up with "NoSymbol" when I check them with xev.

There is also nothing in the docs on how to tell the keygrabber to ignore certain keys.

Any other ideas?
