popt 32-bit libs

I have sucky canon MP160 printer/scanner and I'm using 64-bit arch(which I love).
Canon only offers 32-bit driver packages and I managed to get printer work somehow.
Problem is that pstocanonij filter needs 32bit libpopt.so.0 and I had to link it to /usr/lib/libpopt.so.0
So...printing works, but now libpopt is 32-bit!
How can I link filter to use for example /opt/lib32/libpopt.so.0 instead of /lib/libpopt.so.0  so I can
use the 64-bit lib normally?
