Not able to mount TrueCrypt volumes - Segmentation fault

I have absolutely no idea what's going on here - these are the packages I use:

kernel26 2.6.23.1-5
truecrypt 4.3a-8

I also tried recompiling truecrypt to see if that would help, but it didn't.

[anders@macbook ~]$ sudo truecrypt -k Desktop/keyfile.tc sync/anders.tc anders_tc
Segmentation fault

Running just "truecrypt" works, which shows the help message. But that's not really useful.

This happens with volumes created on Windows and Linux... I really need to get this to work sad

Running: Arch Linux i686, x86_64, ppc

Re: Not able to mount TrueCrypt volumes - Segmentation fault

I've been using truecrypt with no problems. I have:
kernel26 2.6.23.1-4
truecrypt 4.3a-8

and
kernel26 2.6.23.1-6
truecrypt 4.3a-8

on another pc, truecrypt works fine on both

What are sync/anders.tc and anders_tc? They should be volume path (usually a device file unless you don't have a whole partition encrypted) and mount point (an existing directory), respectively. How did you create Desktop/keyfile.tc?

Does at least this work:
truecrypt --list

I had the same problem mounting a volume form USB and from HD on two different laptops and kernels, even creating a new volume and trying to mount it gives me the same problem.

this solution worked for me too.
however, how strange that on the same box, without changing anything, truecrypt suddenly changed its behavior.
