kernel panic after --sysupgrade on my other machine..

so everything was working a-okay, i hadn't done an upgrade with pacman for a week or so, so i did the sysupgrade and after rebooting i see..

No filesystem could mount root, tried:
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown block(0,0)

what's the deal? neutral
