Help! Problems installing Arch

I've setup the system but I can't boot into a GUI or configure to launch GUI I've set up the partitions ran threw the procedures. But editing menu.lst and a few other things in vim off the shell is to much hassle. If I can get past the installation I'm sure I would enjoy an awesome system. Can someone help?
