Gmplayer bug?

I have update to the latest version of mplayer which is MPlayer 1.0rc2-4.2.2. But since then gmplayer fails to play some video files and gives a 'cannot open file' error. But these files play just fine from terminal using mplayer.
Is any one else facing this problem.

First thought it might be some xorg issue again but i downgraded and its still there.

Cli and opening files from mplayer works so is it only nautilus problem?

Re: Gmplayer bug?

Using plain old mplayer after the upgrade to mplayer-1.0rc2-1 caused segmentation faults for me. Couldn't play a single thing.

So I downgraded to mplayer-1.0rc1 and everything worked again.

*shrug* smile

Re: Gmplayer bug?

Its a mplayer bug. You have to change the /usr/share/applications/mplayer.desktop file.

replace "Exec=gmplayer %U" with "Exec=gmplayer %F
