Hi
I dont't know whether this is a Gnome or a OpenOffice problem.
After installing openoffice all related files (sxw, sxc, doc, xls. ...) have the right icon.
If i doubleclick a openoffice file I get the message that the file is not assoziated to any program.
If I choose Assouiate I can see that it is assoziated.
The icon is set, the discribtion, the mimetype, the fileextension...
The programm to run is set to soffice.
Why openoffice won't run by doubleclick a file?
This problem only exists with openoffice. If i doubleclick a bmb gimp run, a avi xine run ....
thank you

If i remember correctly I had a similar problem when i used to use open office. For some reason setting to launch the sim-link didn't work. I had to specify the soffice in in the program subdirectory of the local installation. If you have OpenOffice installed at ~/OpenOffice/, then instead of setting it to ~/OpenOffice/soffice, i linked to ~/OpenOffice/program/soffice.
Of course, all this is assuming that you did run /opt/openoffice/setup after you installed it with pacman.

Hi
it didn't work.
Yes I installed openoffice for my user with setup.
The links in ~/openoffice are ok. if I doubleclick the link openoffice start.
Only the link in the file assoziation won't work.
